I've just had a very distressed call from a friend and she's going out of her head with worry
I love her dearly but she's a little dimple when it comes to money (god love her)
She's spent an awful amount on daft quick rich quick schemes and has now signed up to some drop shipping programme
I have to admit not having a clue how they work or what they entail but the crutch of the matter is that someones ordered a product from her, shes sent the payment and order in and the company has delivered it direct to the buyer. The buyer has received the wrong product apparently and my friend has contacted the drop ship company to explain and they've basically told her 'tough', to put the matter right will cost her another £10 for extra delivery and admin fees
She also has to cover the cost of getting the product safely delivered from the customer to her and then safetly to the drop ship company. Obviously she's gonna lose a lot of money with this but can't see any way round it and doesn't want to let the customer down. is this normal procedure or has she just had a tough break with this ?
Are drop shipping companies things to avoid or has she just had a rough deal with this one.

Unfortunately her experience is not unusual. You can usually tell dropshippers on ebay as they often have feedback that indicates minor irritating problems and slow delivery.
She is probably stuck to complying with the method of redress that the drop shipper wants, and will have to take a hit on this one. She will need to deal with it all fairly quickly though as otherwise she could end up with a paypal chargeback on top of everything else.
