He should have bought a newspaper to "pass the time". ;)

Nice sense of humour! Thanks - had a feeling it wasn't worth the bother but husband got kind of drawn into it by the sales pitch.

has anyone ever had a repeat offer on the Halifax One card? I don't remember seeing anything, but thought I'd ask as I'm due to pay off the balance on this card soon.
  • Just had a repeat offer through the post on my Abbey card which I haven't used for 5 months since the last offer. Code was BTR 06.

1.9% for 6 months £75 fee. 10K BT. Not particularly brilliant but I need the funds so I took it. He wouldn't improve the rate.

If memory serves, it's only happened to me twicein 10 years, but I've read a couple of posts from MSEs in the last week or so, who face late payment charges because a statement went missing, presumed lost in the post.

I thought it was worth a mention.

    yes it was, moggles.
mbna send me an email monthly advising me of on-line statement.
    they may forget. I DON'T!!
the 0% offer they made me last month as an existing customer was
    0% on bt/cheques/bacs til may 07
2% trans fee capped at £35.
on 10k in, say, cov.bdg soc this equates to £212 post tax ( I think ).
tried to jemmy limit up but point blank refusal.

    Ooer...!

Seems NatWest are getting more focussed -

Fewer repeat offers, sensible limits, enforced fees, no exlusions for banking customers and clued up staff who know what their chatting about!

Was a former favourite card for myself with stoozing. A tough cookie now.

Stoozing is turning into a bit of a train wreck.
Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...!
