Hi there,

Just needing a rough idea if these quotes are ok..its a standard fit..no fancy framing and all that.

1 window 1500 x 1500
2 x windows 1500 x 1200

first quote £2800
second £2600

Thanks for any help! x

Yes that right, I'm scared to sign on the dotted line...my 3rd quote was for £2036..so do you think I'll get better price than that if I keep looking...all the sales talk is mincing my head!:(

I dont know where you live, but I would be looking at getting the 3 for under a rand. Are these all national companies you have tried, if so, try a couple of local small companys. (You dont live 4 storeys up do you?)

Call some small local firms for a quote, big double glazing firms are often expensive (though, not always).

    The biggies are always expensive.

I have a semi, and got the whole house (7 windows) done with Pilinington AAA self cleaning glass for £2,800

Like the others say, ring a couple of local companies up, get a quote from them both and names of a couple of ex customers for references.

The biggies are over priced always.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

  • like davemorton said. Dont pay over a grand. Then whatever you save you can spend on a hol for all the stress you've had.

I might move up to Inverness if thats the prices they charge lol
  • You are getting absolutely ripped off with those quotes. Should be £800 to £1100 with reputable trader.

Find a small FENSA registered outfit who will give you a real quote.

    Cheers
