  • Per the website, the Wild Water Rapids will be closed from 08/06/09- 09/07/09. My son would be gutted! (Elveden)
  • Hi everyone

Have just had a nice chat with Customer Services at Center Parcs about their current pricing policy. It appears that they are now running a daily "flexi- pricing" policy on all their different type of lodges based on supply and demand of the lodges. This means that on a particular day 4 bedroomed lodges might be cheaper than 3 bedroomed ones and Woodland Lodges cheaper than Comfort ones.

It is particularly noticeable on school holiday dates now as according to the lady I spoke to the SAVECP campaign has been very successful and June is now fully booked up. However school holiday periods like Easter are not being taken up as quickly as CP would like (as no discount) so prices are being slashed in some cases.

It is therefore a gamble when to book up if you are looking for a late deal. Prices are only guaranteed for a day on the phone and on the website and if there is a large take up then the prices could rise up again more than the original brochure price.

I am actually quite disappointed by CP of late. They don't appear to offer previous clients much incentive to book up holidays unlike other companies who are offering substantial discounts to those who have booked before or book early. Customer services told me they are trying to expand their client base with new customers this year who might not have gone to CP but for the credit crunch. However surely they should look after their existing client base first? My bug bear is that I booked a mid week break 3 weeks ago and now the price is £150 cheaper. They of course wouldn't budge on the price I have paid or offered me anything else to keep my loyalty. I was practically told "tough luck love"....
  • Can I use Tesco clubcard vouchers in the Center Parcs Strada and Cafe Rouge? Also if you send of for £50 worth of Strada vouchers can they be used in Cafe Rouge also or are they specific to the restaurant you request?

Thanks, sorry if this post is in worng section.

Yes dipster, thats exactly the same thing that happened to me at half term, Im gutted, and from your post it would seem pointless contacting them about it.

Changing the goal posts like that all the time with prices is very infair, it almost seems dishonest, ...they are wanting new people to come to center parcs? they will need them if old customers get treated like this!

    Hi,
Anyone got a code which will work over Easter? I'm after either Easter weekend, or possibly a week including Easter weekend. Can't find anything that works at all....

We've just booked for the start of the October holidays. There ar 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) and have got a lakeside executive penthouse cheaper than a standard lodge. It's all one room and the kids have a pullout sofa bed. If you change your search to 1 bedroom they come up that way - great if you don't mind all sleeping in the one (large) room. Only £309 - dead chuffed

I booked for a weekend in June and neither PPPSLA or PPNHS worked for me.

The SAVECP code worked and saved me £122. Yesterday on their website they said this code was valid until 6th March, however today it says only now until 2nd March.

Also, when I originally looked at the accommodation, this code only gave a discount on the older un-modernised styles Comfort, Comfort Plus & Executive. However yesterday morning it also gave the discount on the new Woodland Lodge (was £485 now £363). I rang Center Parcs and they said there must have been a cancellation, hence the reason it came up on their website. (I thought this was a bit strange though because when you go through to the part when you can choose your lodge - for a premium - it gives you many to choose from, not just one lone cancelled lodge!). Within an hour the Woodland Lodge had gone back up to the original price of £485.

I have been on there this morning and they are showing the discounted rate again.

So, I think they put a certain amount of better offers on first thing in the morning but once they are gone (by 11am yesterday). They revert them back to the original price. I'm going to check back this afternoon to the CP website to see if they have gone back up.... and then see if they are discounted again tomorrow morning.

Hope this hasn't been posted already and is of use to someone.

They have extended the SAVECP code until 5th March now.

It's true that the pricing can mean cheaper accommodation but sometimes all the closer villas are gone and the more expensive type villas (but cheaper than comfort) are a long way from the village centres. This is great if the weather is OK but some can be a very long walk, and Longleat would mean a hilly trek to the plaza. (I know the train can take the strain)

We are going for Christmas and I won't checkout the prices to see if they have changed (never do for any holiday). We have the exact accommodation we want, where we want, and with the new pricing structure it becomes more of a lottery.

I agree with the lack of loyalty bonuses, I remember the 'come back soon' campaigns, they did reward re-visits with discounts. If CP doesn't wacth out there will be very few 'select guests' in the future.
  • We're actually at center parcs sherwood right now (making use of the lodge wifi before go out tonight!), we booked a last minute deal and just used savecp for 25% off.

Anyway, just wanted to let people know about following although it will help only when you have actually visited.

I was looking online last night to find a midweek deal for November 09 to come again but this time with more family - we have had such a great time here with our baby (the people/staff/facilities are just lovely) that we wanted to get something booked straight away. The price for one 2 bed exec lodge was 265 as we don't all want to be in a big lodge but seperate ones.

This morning that price was £299. I trawled again for voucher codes but nothing doing that worked. So quite gutted was I and I had already read here about flexible pricing so knew what had happened. I phoned to chance my luck at getting the price down, but no chance, the girl was quite matter of fact about the flexi pricing.

Anyway we thought we would just book it later tonight as prices around that week are really high but clever hub spotted at guest services a "book again" offer. Basically if you book during your stay, or within 28 days of return you get:

    - £25 village vouchers per accomodation booked
    - free combined insurance
    - low price guarantee

the "low price guarantee" is the best bit really as I would never have bought the ins- basically if the price you pay for your particular lodge goes down - you can get the difference refunded. Now the downside is that you have to spot this, so you would have to check their website for the price but we booked knowing that if we do a bit of checking every so often we are "flexpricing" proof. This doesn't include voucher codes, however this time this is less iportant to us as my ma and pa need to bring their hound -and there never seems to be last min hound places.

So we booked 3 accoms for 6+baby for £832 and will get £75 back of vouchers to spend - we paid a deposit rather than the full amount.

Anway I hope my long post helps someone!

Now off for a swim woo-hoo!:j
