Apart from it being a bloody nuisance having to click past the overlay (for a newsletter I already get) every single time I visit the site, I can no longer send someone a link to a specific page section.
For example, I send someone:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/cheap-restaurant-deals#harvesterice
It should take them to the Harvester offer near the bottom of the page, but now it doesn't as the newsletter signup overlay covers the screen and when you close it the page doesn't go down to the section I linked them to but stays at the top.
This attempt to get more people to the site via newsletter signups is actually stopping me sending people links that would also do just that. Please dump the overlay asap

I can't see a problem. I just tried copying and pasting the Harvester link into a new window and it took me straight there. Are you sure there isn't a problem with your own settings?0

Hi JDPower
The overlay is designed to appear once to a user visiting a page with the technology on for the first time, but it then drops a cookie so that the user never gets it again. Is your browser set to accept cookies?

(I do restrict cookies but its not an issue on my computer as I immediately blocked the annoying overlay with Adblock)
On a side note, why do you feel the need to use this in your face tactic? Generally its dodgy sites that immediately popup asking for your email address the second you hit the site, it doesn't give a very good first impression. The signup is there at the top of the page, if people want to sign up they will, why push it at them straight away before they've even SEEN the site to know if they want to sign up?0
