THIS WOULD WORK, but would be very hard to organise........
if everyone boycotted the 2 main fuel retailers (Shell and BP) and used others such as Esso, Tesco or Asda to buy their fuel, then potentially Shell and BP would be losing millions in profits and would therefor be forced to cut their prices to gain custom, which in itself would trigger a price war right across the board. As i mentioned earlier though, this would need EVERYONE or the vast amount of drivers to participate. the only possible way of getting this message out to millions within a few weeks or so would be for everyone who reads this to forward it to every driver in their email list and tell them to forward it to every driver in their list and so on....... the message will spread quickly and hopefully the cost of fuel will also fall quickly. UNFORTUNATELY, the majority of readers will not forward this message and therefor the PLAN  will fall flat on it's face. hopefully all you readers out there will prove me wrong and forward this message, as i am willing to give it a go in the hope that I AM wrong about you all. LETS UNITE AGAINST THE RIDICULOUS RISING COST OF FUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck everyone and hope it works, oh and thakyou if you have bothered to read my extremely long message.:money::T:j

Or someone could form a group with a loyalty card to one particular retailer that is prepared to offer a discount to holders. Maybe it could be called something like "pipeline".
Then "pipeline" could sell its member's e-mail addresses onto 3rd parties, whilst spending years and years not getting any sort of loyalty deal with a petrol retailer, yet managing to offer various "deals" on other items.
Maybe I could change my name to something like "Scammell"....0 -
Sell your car and stop buying fuel full stop is the only way it will work.
All the petrol companies sell fuel to each other on a daily basis.
If everyone bought from asda this year their supplier will run low and purchase fuel from the others.
Boring......
PS... You could move to Venezuela in 2008 it was approx 42p a tank. 0.7p a LitreCensorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I've be boycotting* Shell and BP for years. Can I have a sticker?
*Not really - just never buying from them because they're never cheap!0 -
This is pointless - most of the cost of fuel is made up of tax - what shall we do - boycott the government?!0

Ask Cameron what he will do at his "Cameron Direct" forum...0 -
The retail garage makes about 3-4p a litre - not a lot of margin to play with...0
