iva and business bank account

Options
Hi need some advice please,

My partner is 3 years into his iva and was made redundant at the beginning of april. He has the chance of work but it would mean him setting up his own limited company, he has spoken to his ip and they are ok with this.
Does anyone know anything about getting a business account with an iva and which banks may be a better option? He doesnt need an overdraft or any credit facilities, just to be able to have money paid in by bacs and a debit card.

Thanks in advance for any advice that you can give.

I would recommend talking to your own bank first, the bank where you have been depositing wages etc. Dont apply online or via a form, ask to speak to a business manager and explain the situation. I was in a similar situation and barclays setup my account during the meeting. Chequebook and payment card received within a week.
hope your bank will help, if not try barclays

    thanks armistice,
We have spoken to our own bank and they have put a stop on buisness accounts unless you are a member of the federation of small business.
Will try barcalays when he gets his business certificates through.
    thanks again
