we have had a letter this morning to say the dates and parks we picked were not available. There was a sheet with it which had all the available dates left and all ihad to do was go online and pick another date. We are quite lucky though as we can pretty much have our hols when we like.

I have also booked online and still not heard anything.I have payment confirmation but nothing else yet.

Hmmm I thought the online route was supposed to be the better one?

Me and the children are off to Butlins Skegness and they are quite excited as we are going over Halloween and they have fancy dress parties on and a firework show. So that should be good.

We received our confirmation (after booking online) and request for 'extras' payment from Kessingland about three weeks ago.

They tried to charge us for 'service charge' when the date we'd chosen was offered with no charge!!! Of course their phone no. was an 0870 no., but they had an email address. Emailed them pointing out their error and refusing entertainment passes & linen. They emailed back saying they'd send new documents - which they promptly did, so mon-fri for £38 all in!!!

That park is just down the road from me. PM me if you want any tips on what to do etc etc. I know just aout every money saving thing there is to do in Lowestoft/Kessingland.

Thats very kind black-saturn, we're mainly going to go bird-watching - I love Mimsmere - and a bit of beach-walking.

Which are the nicest beaches? We also like looking at interesting old churches/buildings are there any you suggest?

I used to holiday with my grandparents near Skeggy when I was little - Skegness is so bracing - love the Jolly Fisherman sign!!! I hope you have fun.
