Mechanical Advice.....Steering Problem

Just wondered if anyone a bit more clued up on cars than me could give me an opinion......

About 7 months ago my car was making a kind of rubbing noise when turning right. I had a mechanic look at it and it turned out to be rust on the shoes which he sorted.

Now the noise is back, but the car isn't driving very well. Steering wheel and gear stick are vibrating and when turning it "feels" like the car is drifting, almost like the way it would when driving on ice.

I've done some research and guess I have rusty shoes again, lol and think maybe a simple wheel balance will sort the rest??? Help

  • I recently had a steering issue similar to yours and I had a 4 wheel alignment check which showed the wheels to be 3 degrees out, once it was fixed it has been fine since - cost was around £50
