Is that for 09-10 tax year? Thanks for all the replies! Tax credits told me MA is not counted.....???? I know CB JSA is though.
The total for the year is just over £14500 - thats wages and JSA combined.
.
You should be entitled to WTC based on that figure, however if your income 10-11 tax year is expected to be lower than 09-10 then you should give an estimated figure for this tax year but as explained before in order to avoid an overpayment you ahould voerestimate.
MA is not included as income for TC.0 -

so MA definatly isn't counted? I recieve the full 39 weeks in the tax year and need to call up tomorrow with figures so just making sure I give correct figures! My income is going to be very very low then with only 13 weeks of pay I have to give! 4.5k less than what I estimated, could I maybe be getting an extra payment then?0 -
Although your income is taken for the full period from 06/04/09 to 05/04/10 your WTC will only be paid for the period you are eligible. For example if you worked 30 hours per week (or 16 hours if you have children) from 01/01/10 until 01/02/10 you would only receive WTC for this period (provided your income is within the entitlement threshold). If you have an underpayment then this may be paid as a lump sum, or may be used to offset any overpayment in another year.0

No it is totally disregarded, it is SMP where only £100 per week is disregarded.so MA definatly isn't counted? Yes that was for 09-10. My husband has started another job last week which takes us well over the threshold for WTC so have informed them of that (but they said they couldnt adjust it till the renewal forms came out?)
Ok, am now a bit clearer! So is this right -
-Husband earned over the threshold from April to August 09, so no WTC owed from then.
- Claimed CB JSA August till February, so no WTC owed from then.
- Started work in February till end of tax year on a lower income and we were paid WTC.
Thanks for that, hope I've got it right now! We should be about straight after the renewals then? I was so worried with all the changes that we may have ended up owing, but hopefully not.0
