radio code keeps having to be reset
Options
Re: Factory fitted radio in 2001 Rover 25.
Whenever the radio is switched off for more than five minutes I have to input the code again. I have checked the connectors on the side of the radio and the 10A fuse. No other parts of the car electrical system are malfunctioning.
It must be thinking that the battery has been disconnected.
Any ideas please?

Has the radio ever been removed from the car?
Is it possible the power leads have been corrected wrongly?0 -
I don't know whether the radio has ever been disconnected. There are three 'docking bays' and connector thingies going into two of them, one orange and one grey. I've just tried to get them out but haven't managed it. I'll try again later, but surely if they were the wrong way round or in the wrong bay the radio wouldn't work at all?0
