Hello! Much better day today, spoke to manager about yesterday and he apologised for being so harsh and said he didnt mean to say it in that way. Wouldnt mind but its not my hours that are an issue, its OH's hours!!!
And I had a word about the seat belt too :T Colleague went to reach for her belt at the same spot down the road and I went into 'mother' mode :rotfl: and barked that I hoped she wasnt thinking of taking her belt off before the car had stopped:rotfl: but I did follow it up and explain that I had been in a fatal car accident back in 2002 and was now very hot on seat belts as its the only thing saved my DS and I. She was very apologetic and understood. And then I dropped another colleague off and he did the same thing! I said dont you bl00dy start! :rotfl::D

That's good Cleosmum! Good to hear it!
Congratulations Cat! I am in the throes of wedding planningso feel free to talk weddings to me any time you want to!
Today I've also:
- Shopped at oriental supermarket - stocked up on loads for only £13
- 'dropped a brand' on my beloved sparkling water - T's value 10p for 2litres!! I'm not worried about 'mineral' water or anything, just like the fizz so it's fine for me!
Nice to see you on the board Nottoobadyet. Stick with us - 'tis fun!

Cleosmum I Had a rant about non-seatbelt wearers last night I hope you saw it - basically its illegal not to wear one, irresponsible and I'd stop the car and ask her to put it on if I were you - she's putting you all at risk (sorry for the tirrade)
I hope you get the work thing sorted out - they can't demand parents can both work that early. xxxxx
Thanks, yep read it this morning. I know what you mean though, I was involved in a head on crash with a motorcyclist and it was horrificThe guy died instantly. He was over taking on a bend at 80 MPH and I did my darndest to get out of his way. Bizarrely its always the same stretch of road that she takes her belt off on so I pointed out where my accident happened and I think shes got the message now. My doctor attended the scene of the accident and was just astonished that DS only had the slightest graze from the seatbelt, and was pretty amazed that either of us walked away. Mentally its tough but you deal with it, you have to, and I know I wasnt at fault

Cloesmum - so glad ur manager has realised what a foolish thing he did and let's hope he was going through a one-off-but-awful-personal thingy and took it out on the first person he saw... :T
