  • Morning all

I've just finished catching up on yesterdays thread and am soooo shocked by the attitude of your new company Cleosmum  , sounds completely out of order. I'm sure they're chancing their arm, this sounds like bullying . I hope you have a much better day today and manage to get it sorted out.

Also, on the point about the non-seatbelt-wearer, perhaps you could say something like "it's a family policy that we always wear/keep our seatbelts on" and go on to say something about setting a good example to the kids and not wanting to forget....not sure if that helps, but I often use the "policy" word for things that may be a bit sensitive (..it's my personal policy to never work after x o'clock...etc).

I'll be back later to post my list, shopping's due any minute and I'm not dressed yet :o.

  • OMG what a difference a day makes! it's 10 past 10, I'm still in my pjs, I have made the dinner, planted some seeds, and it still feels like I've got plenty of time left efore I need to leave for work. I've got the house to myself, which is bliss! I've gone over my budget for May and after the last month of having nothing it seems like even though I've paid £650 off my debt this month after all my outgoings nd pocket money I've still got an extra £150 for debts at the end of the month (not with standing any unexpected expenses!).

Sorry just had to share, I'm aware its all a state of mind and tomorrow I amy feel I'm on the poverty line again, but for now I want to bask in the feeling

    Morning Everyone - Just :D

Hope those who have felt poorly are feeling a bit better now,

    Happy Birthday Catmiaow :bdaycake:

Cleosmum, hope things get sorted out with the jobs, someone may have been having a bad day:mad: and took it out on you:mad:

With seat belt thing, dh wants to look in the mirror when she does it and say "Oh sorry did you need dropping off here" and stop the car for her to get out, and if she then says no. Then say, "Oh I thought as you took your seat belt off you needed to get out here!!!!!"

Today I am having a tidy up in lieu of a friend coming for a cuppa and a natter

So I need to buy milk, pick up bread from chemist for ds
    Dinner/lunches from freezer
Checked on line banking, payday tomorrow
Just check over finished accounts for a couple of clients
Finish forms I need to complete, DLA, been waiting for an email and training for me
Going to keep it short and achievable and if I get loads more done I will be really pleased with myself :D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

    hi everyone
update account - now know what i am taking home next week so can calculate the official skintness of next month.
    do free scratch cards
make birthday cards, didn't get them done yesterday so must do them today
hopefully OH has pegged out some washing to dry
taken lunch to work, OH making tea from store cupboards
do leccy reading - again didn't get it done yesterday

need to check out yesterdays thread re the seat belt thing, but in my car i've told people the engine doesn't work unless they are strapped in. Had 'issues' with my MIL who thought i was being excessive but they're the rules, as i said to her i can't afford the fine, and then the potential loss of my job and home just cos she won't put a seatbelt on. (no overreaction on the last bit - i could seriously lose my job if i got caught)

    Hi everyone

Thanks for starting the thread Milly. Glad you’re feeling a bit better today. Fingers crossed they hurry up with that op. xx

    Happy Birthday Catmiaow!

Cleosmum – sounds like you’re having a tough ol’ time of it with your job and the non-seatbelt wearer!!! How frustrating is that?! I’d probably slow down and say “Sorry, do you want to get out here? Just that you’ve taken your seatbelt off so I assumed you wanted me to stop the car…” I hope your boss was just being narky yesterday – that’s surely not fair on your hubby to have to start at that time too.

Fay – Brrr, I’m cold just thinking about the sleet and snow! Wishing you some of our sunshine :D

I’m missing all the chat with this work malarkey :) Popped in earlier this morning before I started here at the ‘pensions factory’ but didn’t get a chance to post. TFI lunchtime…

Ladies, I was very brave – I counted up my debts as they were at 21st January! Basically, in January I was too scared by the cc bills to add them all together and admit the full amount so I set myself the “£3.5k to clear in 2010” target, thinking that I could then finally clear them in 2011, hopefully before my birthday next April. Anyway, last night I checked my January 2010 bills and they totalled £4619.90. My current cc is £3178.35, meaning I’ve cleared £1441.55 so far! The latest figure doesn’t include the interest they are going to whack on top this month as my 0% deal has now finished but this is seriously the first time in my working life that I’ve cleared a debt and not just moved it around/onto the next 0% deal. I must, I must keep this up!! Thank you guys for keeping me focussed!

My list to keep me focussed today is:
    • Quick shower
    • Lunch and snacks to work
    • Check ebay – saved £30 by not buying a similar dress in the shop.
    • Check for a reply from credit report peeps (again)
Looks quite pitiful really. Easy days!
