I had some domains with Lycos webhosting.
They are defunct now and I cant access some of the domains I registered a few years ago.
I actually need them now.
How do I go about getting them swapped over to a new registrar?
Im currently using 123-reg for my latest domains so I guess it makes sense to get them moved to there.

When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

I believe you can ask 123-reg to request the transfer,
or maybe check at nominet, other than that i can only guess that you wait for them to expire and buy them back !
I hope that kinda helps!Press any other key to continue.0 -

I tried that but it was marked as being unable to transfer and that i was to contact the registrar to change the name tags, but ofcourse they dont exist anymore.
For the .co.uk and .org.uk one I contacted Nominet and they charged me a tenner to transfer them to 123 regs tags.
Is there something similar for nominet that covers the .com and .net domains? When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
Verisign covers .com, and may cover .net ,but I'm not sure on that one.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

I emailed them about ten mins ago and already they have emailed me back.
They do deal with .com and .net domains but in mycase I need to contact a firm called ICANN to get it sorted out. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
