ELECTRICITY users across the Midlands could owe several hundred pounds each because their meters are out of date.
A special team of advisers has been set up by Powergen to contact householders to tell them they have fallen into debt because of outdated equipment and recent price changes.
Shocked users are being told they have run up unexpected debts because their meters have not been adapted to reflect recent increases.
