Anyone come up against this outfit.
They have put a ticket on a maintenance van parked in Flat bay he was attending. He had to enter this car park via a coded entre gate given to him by the tenant of the flat. Shoal say pay the £120 before we look at an appeal. Is it enforceable?

Why the ***k do they need a ppc when its a gated entry by code only? Its not as if the local shoppers can use it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

The advice as per everything else in relation to these unenforceable invovices is to

For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Just a ticket was it? In Petersfield, the Shoal Enforcement crew clamp first and demand money on the nail before they unclamp. You might think that one step away from blackmail, but there's worse to come.
Their notices at the private space concerned say their release fee is £150. That's about 35 percent above the national average figure (expensive place the south, isn't it). But it isn't all. Two letters to a local paper have recounted being forced to pay £200 and £215 before the drivers could reacquire the use of their own vehicles. Sure, they were wrong to park on private land, but it was a place--well off-road, in front of a closed-down and unoccupied pub--that inconvenienced nobody.
But was very convenient for the Shoal crew. £200 and £215, far above what even Shoal's own notices announced, let alone what is reasonable. How many steps away from blackmail is that?
Now, at long last, this whole shoddy business is to be banned. Not before time. Unless their lobbyists, not to say their far-from-unfriendly regulators, can deter the government from its claimed intentions.0 -
What's more, in a previous life one of the company directors described his occupation as "Sales Assistant". At the time he worked at a tropical fish shop! They smell a bit fishy to me
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=29421073&highlight=shoal#post29421073My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
