HELP!! pc infected

My pc has got loads of things wrong with it, im getting pop ups saying that i am receiving spam adware the lot.Im getting pop ups from windows sercurity centre telling me to do a scan as spyware entries have been found, my oh thinks this is the spam ware/spyware telling me to do this, is he right?? Im not the biggest tech in world but my pc needs fixing!!!!!!
Any suggestions would be most grateful

The pop-ups will most likely be the Spyware trying to get to you run it:

Follow the instructions in the Spyware removal guide at the top of the board

thanks godders, i will try that, but yet again my other half was right about it may be spyware trying to get me to run the programme, something esle for him to gloat about

that sounds like a "Winfxer" type infection

if that other thread does not get rid of that (false) message that your PC is "infected" then come back and I'll help you remove it
