Cost of fitting an additional radiator?

I have a little extension room at the back of my house that needs a small radiator putting in it but I have absolutely no concept how much such a job would cost. Any ideas anyone? I have a gas central heating system.

depends on a couple of things, first what size radiator you want the range from £30 quid for a small one upto £100 for a 1200x600mm one (trade prices) and the distance from the existing flow and return pipes to extend to,also is it a wooden floor or concrete floor, how old is the boiler, and how powerful is it,can it heat another radiator?

also this will involve draining down your system, then having to replace the rust inhibitor in the system,

i would say your looking at between £300 and £500 quid depending on the radiator you want and the pipe work required

I've just been quoted £325 to fit a 1200 x 500 towel rail in a downstairs loo valves, and pipework across the hall to the existing radiator there.

As it's been said already. it depends on a number of factors.. With easy access to current flow/return pipes, pipe runs along wall, average size radiator, I would say £250 tops but then I operate at low overheads... You could end up paying double that.

First thing that needs to be found out is are the nearest pipes large enough to handle the extra heat output of the new radiator, or will the new pipes have to go back to the main heating run of 22mm.

What sort of pipe work do you have at present. Small bore or microbore?

If microbore the pipes will look about the size of a pencil. Small bore will be 15mm pipe work.
