Just wondering, last night i was out in the car and i suddenly noticed my right indicator started going quite fast and flashing fast aswell. I have checked and the 3 lights seem to be flashing on that side, Does anyone have any ideas why its flashing/ticking so fast.

Yes; normally it would mean that one of the light is not working. Are you sure they are all working?

Stick on your hazrd warning light and go round them again. Could be the relay but I'm not convinced that would cause that type of symptom.

Normally fast flashing is an indication of a bulb out, but equally it could be the relay. Though in my limited experience, when a relay goes it tends to stop flashing entirely.

If all three lamps are flashing, check for corrosion on the contacts. This would give a higher than normal resistance and may fool the flasher.Have a look to see if there's one light slightly dimmer than the rest.

It could be a bulb and could be a relay.

I had a Volvo a few years back a S60, and the indicators on it were computer controlled, just hope yours isn't computer related :o

    Bulb out....

The indicator relay's are designed to cause this error when a bulb fails.

Bulb out, short in wiring, bulb going, corrosion somewhere....

My old Escort had a wiring fault- took ages finding it- but was quite bizarre. She'd suddenly decide at ramdom to switch lights on/ off.....

^^ lol my 2litre 306 XSI used to do that! I'd hit a bump and the headlights (all lights in fact) would turn off for like a tenth of a second!
Peugeot electrics are soooooo crap, but I did love and I do miss that car! :(
Last of the great Peugeot's and the last one i'll ever own.....

    what car is it??

So long as all bulbs definately work then i would go with the corroded connection as normally flasher relays cause loss of flash if knackered.

the corsa c would do same thing but all bulbs worked fine the fault was inside BCM.

Finally decided it had to stop when she cut all light, including hazard, at the top of a mountain at 3am during winter! No mobile phone reception, so only option was to drive until we were lower, or freeze to death...

A friend hanging out the passenger window with a torch for 15miles was definitely an experience....
