Outlook Express Problem

Options
I use OE 6 to manage 6 email accounts and all have been working perfectly, untill
now. The problem is that one of the accounts will not let me delete old emails it gives this error message then closes down "MSIMN.exe has generated errors and will be close by windows you need to restart the program"
even without clicking delete this email account closes itself about 30 secs after it is opened, then it displays this same message but adds that an error log has been generated. I have never come across this one before. All the other accounts work ok.
>any Ideas appreciated, also were would I find this error log.
Win 2K pro, athlon XP.

Best bet is to delete these dbx files manually.

This error can happen when outlook express crashes, or you've got lots(hundreds and hundreds) of emails sitting in the inbox etc.

First of all, take a note of the inbox that causes OE (Outlook Express) to crash.

    (Following copied from Microsoft Site)
    Finding Your Store Folder

Here is a quick and easy way to display your Store Folder with just a few clicks and keystrokes.

1.In Outlook Express, click Options on the Tools menu.

    2.Click the Maintenance tab.

    3.Click the Store folder button.

4.Press the TAB key to highlight the Store Folder path.

5.Press CTRL+C to copy the path to the clipboard.

6.Click OK, then again OK to close the Options panel.

    6b. Close Outlook Express.

7.Click Start, and then click Run.

8.Press CTRL+V to paste the path into the command line.

    9.Click OK.

    10. If you do not see any files in the folder that opens, click Folder Options on the Tools menu, click the View tab, and then click "Show hidden files and folders" and click OK.

    End of copy....

Once your in there it should be reasonably obvious what files are for what folders, just delete, or rename, the one that causes OE to crash when you access it. Outlook Express will recreate it the next time you open it.

If you delete it you'll lose any emails as well. If you rename it, then you haven't lost the emails, but it's harder to get them back. If you don't need the emails, then delete away :)
