Praise for Kodak Printers Customer Service

I bought a Kodak printer on 22 March 2009 and had no trouble with it until a week or so ago - yes, the warranty had just expired!
Having used the online troubleshooting checklist it seemed that I needed a new printhead which was no longer under warranty and was only available from Kodak.
Yesterday I called customer services on the 0800 number I got from SayNo to 0870. And had to run through the checks again 'cos me saying I had already done this wasn't good enough!
But then of course the machine ran out of ink again - I had warned the tech this would happen!And then the tech said that it sounded like I needed a new printhead (£27.60) or I could trade in my printer and upgrade to the latest model. 
He gave me a case number and asked me to try a couple more tests once I had fresh ink cartridges and to call back when I decided what I wanted to do.
So I called back today, gave my case number and the very nice man said, "OK, so it is still not working properly? I think that what I will do is send you a new printhead. Please confirm we have the correct address... the new printhead will be with you in 3-5 working days. Thank you for calling and have a nice day!"
NO payment, NO trying to get me to upgrade, NO hassle.

PS The freephone number for Kodak printers helpline is 0800 3898718.
SayNoto 0870 says that this number is meant for dealers but the automated answer must have changed as it doesn't say that now.

Canon did the same for me a couple of years ago - 15 month printer, they sent a new head and some new cartridges
