im yet to recieve my renewal form.if i do get overpaid between april and the time i renew.can they calim it back

Yes they can - they will deduct any overpayment from future payments received. Your best bet is to go onto their website, and go to the 'are you eligible for tax credits' tab. You can put in all your info there, and get an ideas as to what your award might be. If it is less than what you are receiving now, then just put the extra amount aside so that when you do get any overpayment, you have the money sitting there so that you're not struggling.0

We continue to pay Tax Credits on a provisional basis until we process the renewal. The provisional payments reduce slightly to allow for an inflated income but if we do pay too much from 06/04/2010 and the date you renew we may well carry out an 'in-year recovery' which is just a fancy way of saying we'll reduce your tax credit payments slightly until we recover any overpayment.0
