Sorry about the delay in 'posting back'.

    The chronology is this:

    October 2009 - First apply.

Beginning of November 2009 - Give them up-dated income figures for 09/10

End November 2009 - Get an amended Award Notice

April 2010 - Give them exact income figures for 2010/2011

I only applied when I became unemployed and I have missed out on years of the 'family element' of the award.

When do you think I will get the new payment?

ok, now we have a bigger picture this will prob make more sense. If your household earned £38k in tax year 08-09, then im assuming in tax year 09-10 you would have had a similar income? (had you not lost your job in October)

if so, the amount you and your OH earnt between April 09 and October 09, would still put you in the higher earner bracket, and this is prob why your entitlement didnt go up, once you became unemployed

however, now we are coming into tax year 10-11, if your household income is only your OHs, and your JSA(?) then your entitlement should change to the figures i quoted previously

would just like to say that Fridays payment was ESA payment, early for some reason, so my TC payment was £89.63, still seems low considering what some people seem to be getting..

We only recieved the basic last year but DH was made redundant in Dec - his redundancy payment has in effect cancelled out CTC for last year. I telephoned on the 6th April with new est figures for this year - DH receives CB JSA and I work 16 hrs. I also asked to go to a weekly payment- we recd a payment into the bank on Wed, Thurs & Friday of last week to bring us up to date with regular payments starting from tomorrow onwards. They are deducting approx £20 for last years underpayment , which is fine. We have not yet received our award notice, but apparently it is in the post. We normally receive our renewal pack to confirm last years figures around May time.
