Hi, am flying out of newcastle airport in may, we are travelling from edinburgh to newcastle on train and metro but due to silly flight times are thinking about returning by bus which leaves much earlier than the train and saves us hanging around for hours, my question is... How do i get from newcastle airport to newcastle bus station ??... Is there a bus service from airport, does it run frequently and in the early hours as need to be at bus station by 5.30am at the latest, alternatively, does anyone have any idea of how much a taxi would cost from airport to bus station??... Thanks for any help given.

There is a metro link from the airport to the city centre but if you arrive during the night the taxi fare to the city is about £15 to £18"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Hi, thanks for your answer...is the bus station in the city centre too?0

Assuming you mean the coach station rathe rather than bus station.
In which case get the Metro to Newcastle Central Station. Megabus leaves from outside the station but National Express requires a walk of nearly a mile

Central Station to National Express coach station St James Boulevard is an easy 5/10 minute walk."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
