Hey, i've just finished high school and going onto college and i was wondering if anyone knew what the best bank is around at the moment.
I dont know any important factors or anything when looking around for a good bank....i just want something basic that i could just use for getting my EMA'z paid into for now.
All comments are welcome..

Your best bet is to go for a high street bank - HSBC and NatWest offer accounts for young people that also give you freebies and special offers...
If you don't want the offers, you could try Abbey or Halifax - it just depends on what you want.
However, I reccommend you go into all the banks and building societies and ask what sort of accounts the offer for young people, and weigh up the offers against the level of service they give you... are they friendly and helpful, are they bothered to help, do they keep you waiting ages, do they ignore you?
Personally, I went with HSBC's RightTrack account, and got a free driving lesson and a sort of student discount card. You could also take a look at what Lloyds TSB and Barclays offer, although HSBC and NatWest give the best deals.
Hope this helps!!0 -

You can go with the best bank you find now, and change when you go to Uni... there's nothing stopping you changing banks!!
If you get rubbish service, open an account elsewhere, transfer your money across and close the old account!0
