house dilemma with the sellers

  • Thanks for the tips. We won't own the house until 4/30. Our contract does say for the owner to show us how to operate the koi pond pump on our walkthrough on 4/23. I'm thinking the koi pond pump wasn't working, so he had the pond cleaned and the maintenance done to the pump. so he wants me to pay for it.

    He should keep the property in good condition, at least in the same condition as when you have viewed it.

    I would thank him sincerely for looking after the pond. But not pay a penny.

    Hope you like it on this forum - some bits are friendlier than others, but it's good here. Check out the Old Style Board.

    And ask under which section and paragraph of the contract do they think means that you have to pay.
