If Pixmania is a french company and trying to deflect the rights under french law, why are they filing returns and accounts? May be worth trying to get hold of the last set of accounts.

My god, what is your problem with Pixmania? Tom, are you trying to help people claim for a TV, or are you single-handedly trying to confuse people?
So far today, you've tried to argue that a contract has been formed and that's the main arguing point; that they're a French company and are therefore acting illegally; that because they emailed saying they had to cancel as they were running at a loss; that even the credit card company is at fault and has to pay for the TV.
Tom - make your mind up as to exactly what you want and exactly what point you're trying to argue. Your posts are laden with indecision and anger against a company for apparently no reason.

In a landmark ruling, the House of Lords has confirmed that section 75 does apply to foreign transactions. In 2004 the High Court said the act didn't apply when people made purchases abroad. But that has now been overturned by the Court of Appeal.
The House of Lords has confirmed the protection also applies if you buy goods for delivery to the UK from overseas by telephone, mail order or over the internet.
Which? has always believed section 75 applied whether a card is being used in the UK or overseas.
You're not talking about taking the card company to court, though. Besides, that ruling wasn't about loss of bargain. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
