47" LED Widescreen 1080p HD TV - £199 @ Pixmania price error

You seem to be missing the point, Pixmania is flouting EU trading laws by accepting money for orders and then cancelling, one they recieve funds from PayPal then the contract is formed, so they should be under the obligation to satisfy the contract by providing the goods!
It's not the consumer's fault that the item is mispriced, I am not saying its not a misprice, but if it's advertised at that price then they should honor it, especially after taking people money.
I aint missing the point. there IS a get out clause for them and that is human error. automatic payment also goes agasint the buyer.
If you really feel that you are going to get anything other than your time wasting by carrying on with this then crack on. but next time you see a quite obvious mis-price then do what other longer standing members do and have a punt on it if you fancy and then watch as all the people who dont get it drone on about how they should be given a 1k discount on a tele because an automatic system has made a mistake. If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -

When this one went up i was relatively hopeful ppl might get one. No-ones been stupid thinking there might have been a chance and i know that from previous experience.
M & S Laptop: I got one for £420. Cheapest price on web is over £700. not really next to nothing is it?
Anthony Worrel Thomson Pan Set: Won for £1 yesterday! RRP £200 (although £80 more realistic on other sites!) won??
Woolworths: £5 4pc steel swan toaster. RRP £30 didnt they flog off everything in a closing down sale?
Countless things for free on very.co.uk using codes?
If all these things have been sold for tuppence then i dont see why this couldnt have had the chance!
The whole point of these threads is that we all find and share these things and fairly often come out on tops!
Sorry to those that are being hounded by these two idiots!
I do however, notice that theyre only commenting now its been confirmed these are not available at this price, and werent saying these things last night!
Which items you listed came from a misprice? If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -

A clear mistake that should have still been honored as payment is contract .
Even Pixmania agrees that payment legally finalized the purchase.
“Once you have chosen your method of payment, you must pay for your order, which legally finalises the purchase agreement made with Pixmania.”

you wont get it mate your getting wound up over nothing. If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
If people want to pursue this further - let them get on with it, they'll either get their TV or they wont.
Either way its keeps them busy and they might learn something that they never knew before.
I really wish people would stop telling other people what they can and cant do.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

Well said :beer:0 -
they have broken the law, trading standards are looking into it,
there are 3 steps
1st offer made by me
2nd confirmation of the offer by pixmania
last stage 3rd payment taken.
by law they have to sell you the product,
i advise you all to contact consumer direct, they have passed it onto trading standards.
now they need to prove that they mispriced this.0 -

do you not think the fact it was 1K off the RRP is a little give away?If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
I cant believe people are still going on about this. There's no way anyone is going to get that TV for £199, a small claims court or trading standards are not going to help either
If that someone who stumbled across the mistake first hadnt said anything, kept it to themselves and just went ahead and bought it, maybe just maybe they would have got a cheap TV. But as soon as they started telling the whole world about it and hundreds of people started trying their luck, some even buying multiple amounts, then that was the end of that!
All these facebook pages, letters of complaint etc are going to be waste of time. They will easily prove it was a mistake and was mispriced. No one is going to make Pixmania buy hundreds of TV's from LG at cost price and sell them for less. Its just not going not happenComping again0 -
