Which package would you choose out of the two options below? as I am looking for mobile insurance for my wife and I and also worldwide travel insurance together with breakdown cover. Any other benefits offered are just a bonus

I doubt anyone will give you a definitive answer as it really does depend on the value YOU place on the additional benefits on the Barclays account - e.g. Home SOS (as obviously the NatWest account is cheaper - £12.95 vs £15).
Any reason why you have limited your choice to those two (and not looked at others - for example Halifax Ultimate Reward or Co-operative Bank Privilege, which seem to be potentially better value for you).0 -
Or Lloyds added value accounts which do seem good.0

Halifax ultimate reward account - £12.50 a month and if you pay in over £1000 a month you get £5 back making it £7.50.0

I would first work out what it is actually you want, i.e. insurance etc, then find the best deal for these in the market. If the cost of the commercially available products is lower than the price which the bank will charge don't bother with the accounts!
I have tried this a number of times and have never ever found these packaged accounts represent good value for money.0 -
Does the mobile cover from Barclays or Natwest cover two phones or is it just for one mobile?0

A friend of mine has the Natwest account which you mention, he said that the benefits are really good value for money. The travel insurance is top notch too. Normally packaged accounts with phone insurance exclude the iphone, Natwest include it which is a good sign. I dare say that although I am generally against the idea of paying for an account this one seems to be the proper goods. Good luck.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -
any idea if the natwest account covers two phones or is it just 1?0
