dfs damaged sofa return policy

just had a dfs leather sofa delivered today (after a 4 month wait), my wife was in and took delivery. i came home from work and gave the sofa a thorough inspection and noticed a large cut one way and a smaller cut across the longer one. looks like it was done by the stanley knife they used while removing the packaging.
what i would like to know is what are my options in regard to a replacement, as i understand dfs can be difficult when it comes to a replacement.
if they offer a replacement but say it will take a further 4 months do we have the right to choose a different style sofa?
thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
I too have recently recieved my leather DFS sofas. Firstly, there are marks on one seat making the sofa set look really odd. The ruislip branch manager repeats that this is natural. But when we told him that the whole look of the sofa is not right they just dont want to know.
Then (after they annoying told us that all sofas are quality checked) me and my husband decided to check it ourselves properly - and guess what? Yes there is a rip on the large sofa. We even had the store manager come to our house to check the sofa himself and again he insited that it is all natural that included the rip!
How can someone say that a rip (and yes if i try to put my finger into the rip it will go straight through) is natural. I could not believe that the Manager of a store of all people would say that a rip in a leather sofa (brand new) is all natural. We have not even bothered to unpack the leather sofa suite yet because we not hate it soo much! I just cannot believe a company as big as theirs would have such poor customer care! I also signed up for the 4 year interest free payment - what a mistake.
We are soo frustrated with them and seriously regret buying anything from them.0
