For a few years now I've been looking into getting some solar PV panels to reduce my electric bill and do my bit for reducing CO2 levels. Like many the payback periods and initial outlay were a concern, so its never been anything more than something on my 'wish list'.

You can now get solar PV panels for free from a company called A Shade Greener

It very simple, they pay for the panels and get the new feed in tariff, we get the electric for free.

I'm going to buy my own but, thought I would share it here as it may be of some use to others.

Also, look out for Tescos and Sainsburys selling solar PV panels, I've not seen them for sale yet, I think they are due to start soon.
