Hire of casino games?

I'd certainly try and look at a local firm; the reason I went local was that they would be easier to track down if they didn't show up on time, and there wouldn't be any excuse of "traffic" being so much of a problem. Also, the site I used has testimonials from local businesses and schools (!), which I've actually heard of and could contact said companies to check that they were pleased.
Mine are supplying a professional table for each game plus croupiers and delivery/setup/takedown costs; so I can only assume that what you've been quoted is for tabletop ones; which (I really don't want to sound snobbish here) won't look anywhere near as good as a professional table set. I don't think your 'casino in a box' is any cheaper than a professional setup, working those costs out.0 -
Thanks,
I have had another quote which includes the professional tables for £450 from a company in the north west, for two games, croupiers, set up etc etc, personalised money (I'm not bothered about that), and a free "bottle of bubbly" for whoever wins the most that night.
Do you think it is worth haggling to say £400? And how the hell would I do it?:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

That's what I'm getting for £375 (minus the bubbly!). I know you're not local to me, but I would try some more companies, local and national and each time quote them £25 below what the last company has said... ask them if they can beat the price by £25 or £50 each time.
Or, you could go back to these people and go along the lines of "I've got quite a tight budget and I wondered if there was any room for manoeuvre on the price; I was hoping to get everything in for around £325. I'm happy to omit the personalised money and the bottle of bubbly".
They might come down to £400 or at best £375, if you got £350 you should snatch their hand off. If your reception is on a Saturday you might need to be prepared to go to £400 (mine's on a Friday so I don't know if that benefitted me).
Good luck and keep us updated!0 -
Thanks :-) Ours is on a Friday too. I haven't found that many around Warrington yet, but I do have plenty of time to organise it.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but when I went to university the first time I was a member of RAG. The RAG at manchester university has a very nice professional routlette timetable (think it was a donation) and a few other games. They used to provide a casino to many of the university balls, not sure what they charge now but all money goes to charity and although it is staffed mainly by students we used to wear DJs and ballgowns as croupiers.
As indiegirl said, you're not likely to be allowed to use real money as your venue would need a gambling licence but you can still manage to have fun0 -
We've narrowed it down to two.
Pier Fun Casinos (based in the north west) quoted us £450 for two tables but we got them down to £400 by forgoing the bubby and personalised money
Exclusive casino hire (based in Warrington) quoted us £320 for two tables, no bubbly or personlised money either.
Both "appear" to offer the same. Will do more research to see if there is anything to explain the different in prices. I can't find reviews on both of these.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

I emailed Exclusive casino hire (based in warrington) letting them know we had shortlisted them, alongside the other casino, but we hadn't decided which to go with. They replied that they would add a bottle of champagne for the casino winner.
£320 for professional tables of roulette and blackjack with croupiers, 3 hours dealing time and champers. I'm very happy with that and hope they are as good as they promise!
They'll get good recommendations if they are! Sounds much better than casino in a box!!
