Hotpoint washing machine and extended warranty

Hotpoint washer/dryer machine 2 and a half years old. Have extended warranty on it and have had to call engineers out seven times in the last 3 months for different faults, (3 times in one week!). They appear to repair one fault, and then something else goes wrong! Getting fed up as this means time off work to wait for their visit. Could I claim this machine not fit for purpose under Sale of Goods Act?
Have complained to their Customer Service dept and their reply to me says they are sorry for the inconvience but the extended warranty cover means they will continue to repair the faults but I am now wondering how many times this will continue. Personally I think 7 engineer visits within 3 months is unreasonable. Anyone any thoughts?

I have a indestit washer with extended warranty about to come to end 1st august. I have had it almost 2 years now and have had the engineer out 2x. It broke again (went bang) last sunday, the engineer came out last thursday, he replaced a part but that didnt fix it so he ordered another part and can't come back out again with the new part till this friday afternoon!!Even though according to his laptop there was no fault?? This will mean I will have been without a washer for 12days.
Surely when you take out an extended warranty they should not be leaving me for such along time without a washer... my dirty washing has now taken over the spare room. Please help..:j

OP, it's not the WD440 is it? Mine is now in its third year and it's been nothing but trouble, it's probably had repairs around 50 times.

I tried rejecting it but they just weren't interested but there are known issues with the machine. My extended warranty ends soon and I'm not going to renew I'm just going to replace it when it breaks down and I can't afford to keep waiting in for repair people all the time.

I've even had compensation from the warranty holder as one of their repair men damaged my kitchen.
