Just a quick update for you, I have now tried pilates, tone and tighten, legs bums and tums, and tomorrow I am going to try Zumba on S23xy_c's recommendation. Really enjoying the classes and noticing some of the other ladies are recognising me and saying hello which is nice.
    :-) Still achey though!

I'm a kickboxer, if you are into that kind of thing it's amazing. The first month I easily dropped a dress size. Most of me is muscle now, however after that initial loss I just added muscle and tone, didn't really loose anymore inches. My fitness is so much better. And I get to kick OHs a*s every Tuesday :rotfl:

I took the plunge today and rang up about bootcamps - there is one near me that charges £5 per session and the first one is free so I am waiting a call back. I have eaten too many breakfasts and tend to live on junk or fresh air so am getting podgier by the minute.

I'm due to start pilates next week...shouldve been 2 weeks ago but she'd had to postpone twice. I did shell out for a personal session to start with tho as I've had problems and been recommended to go by a physio. It seems relaxing but I still ached after!

I started running this morning, I just can't afford gym membership and any classes locally are so expensive!! I ran for approx 5 mins (in 1 minute intervals) and walked the rest - rubbish really, but it's a start!! Any tips for cheap ways to tone up? Other than running and Wii fit (I must get motivated to get that back out!!)

Catsy get yourself some walking poles (you can sometimes pick these up in Lidl), you will need two and get some walking boots and go walking using your poles..its great aerobic exercise.

Well, I had a call from the bootcamp chap and ended up going shopping again for a ton of fruit (you see I have been very silly with food as I hardly ever eat breakfast and tend to eat rubbish). I have to drink a pint of water 15 mins before breakfast and that water has to contain the juice of a lime (I admit that I ate the lime too to save on wastage) then Ihave breakfast which can be porridge with some fresh fruit on top, mid morning snack of fruit and/or nuts, lunch containing certain raw veg (eww) and protein which can be beef, chicken, egg or even ham, mid afternoon another snack of fruit/nuts and then later some dinner again this must be beef chicken, egg with raw veg or salad (I prefer salad) - no bread or carbs are to pass my lips for the next two weeks and I have to drink 2ltrs of water a day:eek: Bootcamp classes start in 2 weeks.
  • Blimey with that strict diet you won't need the classes.
Just been to Zumba, good for making friends cos you all look so daft but not so great if you have the coordination of an uncoordinated thing!

with the scary "year to the big day" date looming on monday i got back in to the weight watcher way of eating from monday (and managed to convince the OH to join me as well at the moment he's finding it okay)

but i also went back to gym as well (we have a small one at the college i work in so i can nip for 30 mins at lunch time if the motivation hits). did 30 minutes monday on the cross trainer and went in this morning before work and did a 30 minute spinning session (i used to go to spinning class regularly, it's tough but a brilliant work out and great for your legs and bum lol and my old spinning instructor had giving me some of the sessions music she used to play)

i think i'm going to have to get back into walking as well, at the moment with paying for the house and saving for the wedding we don't have much else to spare so my exercise is all going to have to be free!

good luck to everyone, hope you get the motivation bug
