Accurate scale drawing

I am required to draw an accurate scale drawing of my teaching area. The room is 20ft by 20ft. I dont have microsoft publisher. How can i do this on word/powerpoint?

Do you just need 2 dimensional? If so, in PowerPoint, select View, Ruler, and it will show a ruler on both axes.
If you need a 3-d model then you'll probably need something else. For example, SweetHome3d is free and works well, though in a fairly basic way.0 -
You might be better off using something like dia, or some of the other options listed on that page. They're all free, so you've got nothing to lose trying them out. Also look at google sketchup. You can use the drawing tools in Word to draw a rectangle. Right click on it and select Format AutoShape > Size and set it proportionally, eg 10 x 10 cm.
If the tools aren't visible, click on View > Toolbars > Drawing .. and you will see the little rectangle at the bottom of the page.
