Am I too late for raspberry and gooseberry..??

    Gooseberries (and other bush fruit) will be fine going in now providing you are buying pot grown plants. Buy from a good source and choose your variety carefully. If you can't get pot grown bushes wait till the Autumn and buy bare root plants from a specialist.


    If I remember rightly the raspberries in nursery were potted, and looked far healthy that any others I've seen - I did comment that they looked nothing like what we had bought from wilkos.. I'll ask tomorrow anyhoos, he's a nice chap and won't sell me it if it won't work for me :)

    Hinnomaki Red's meant to be good. I've got one, but it was so decimated by sawfly last year that I didn't get much fruit. :(
    If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
