Am I too late for raspberry and gooseberry..??

Don't be fooled by raspberries that look like they've been grown in pots. They are often just bare rooted stock bundled together in a bit of peat.
Gooseberries (and other bush fruit) will be fine going in now providing you are buying pot grown plants. Buy from a good source and choose your variety carefully. If you can't get pot grown bushes wait till the Autumn and buy bare root plants from a specialist.
If I remember rightly the raspberries in nursery were potted, and looked far healthy that any others I've seen - I did comment that they looked nothing like what we had bought from wilkos.. I'll ask tomorrow anyhoos, he's a nice chap and won't sell me it if it won't work for me

Hinnomaki Red's meant to be good. I've got one, but it was so decimated by sawfly last year that I didn't get much fruit.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
