am i paying too much?

due to husband leaving me with lots of debts and disability as my only income, i have been forced to look at my spending and cut many corners as i go along. however my son has said that after seeing an advert in the newspaper to switch to virgin for tv, phone and internet i would save even more than the cuts made with them already. i had been on to bt and made sure i was on the most basic package yet still seem to be paying £45 a month. it cant be due to a high level of calls as i use 18185 who i also pay approx £15 a month too. i also contacted sky and removed box in sons room. left basic box in front room but for me had the sky plus in my room (spend at least 20 hours in bed a day. so necessary to me). which then became a £56 monthly. as for internet i know my husband paid a one off charge moons ago for internet access, but they have been in touch to say i need to start paying for that too now. i dont know how much as i was really woozy from my drugs that day after coming home after another op and cant find any details on bank statement. on top of all this i must have had at least 10 sky boxes by now as they are forever jamming and need to get someone out who never attermpts to fix them, just installs replacements which mean i lose all my saved programs. so its not a great service. i have tried reading through the advert a few times trying to work out the cost with someone like virgin on a like for like basis but i cant seem to get a handle on the figures. am not normally bit dim but since my op i have trouble figuring out things like this and when i do i worry sick i didnt make a mistake as no one to check or go through it with me. does anyone have similar needs to me, entertainment package wise and have a better deal they could share with me or some suggestions. i would be most grateful
