Income support when disabled

Hi, this is my first post so i hope its in the right place. can anyone explain two items on the list of personal allowances and premiums. The letter was sent begining of March (they are in the process of sending us a revised one out with the benefit increases on for April 2010 as the first got lost in the post)

this is the letter they send you with a breakdown of everything you are entitled to and take away what you already get I.e child benefit etc

The heading is :How your income support was worked out
How much the law says you need to live on
For the adults in your household
For you and your partner £100.95
Because your partner is sick or disabled £39.15
because you are caring for someone until recently £29.50
Disability income guarantee £39.95

the two items in italics i can't find any reference to to find out exactly how we have qualified for them. I get SDA and DLA, HRC and HRM. My husband is my carer for which he claims carers allowance. He is not disabled in anyway. I hope i have made sense, i have put our figures into entitledto but i am not sure if the final figure it gives you includes my DLA or not.
Hope someone can help. many thanks in advance AM x

Just a thought, although it says for the adults in the household. My son recieves DLA HRC, could this have something to do with the disability income guarantee?
  • might be an idea to re-post this on the benefits forum where you will get the help you need with this, personally i`ve not heard of the disability income gaurantee so cant help
