I am trying to find out the average cost of a new gas central heating installation - 7 radiators and a condensing boiler. I've been quoted £5000 by British Gas....

£2895 here in Norfolk, but check your local newspaper, shop around, don't commit until you KNOW it is the most competive price with reliable installation and back up. Don't be in a hurry.

This is probably a combi boiler quotation, check out the difference for a standard type with holding tanks.

About 3.5k in the South East.

British Gas quoted me something like 4.6k for a job that ultimately cost 2.1k, they are good for a laugh if nothing else.
