Buying Gravel

Good afternoon all who read
Basically, I need enough gravel to cover a 6sq m section of my garden. I have used the online calculators to work out that I will need about half a ton of gravel.
Can anyone advise on where best to buy it from? Online shops seem to either sell in 1 ton bulk bags or 25kg bags.
I dont want to be stuck with half a ton of unused gravel on the street but then again I dont want to pay more for half a ton of 25kg bags than for a full ton bulk bag :rotfl:
Does nowhere sell half ton bulk bags? :rotfl:
Any help would be appreciated

what depth of gravel are you putting down? Its best not to have a deep layer of gravel or your feet sink into it.
Landscape suppliers often sell 0.2 cubic metre loads, which should be enough for you. But this is usually loose. Give a local supplier a call and ask if they will deliver 0.2 in a bulk bag.0 -
thanks for the reply
i was looking at 30mm depth. it is for a raised area that wont be walked on so thought that would be the right depth from what I have read online.0 -
a 0.2 would be enough with a bit left over if you can get one. Make sure the ground is level first, it takes up a lot more gravel filling in hollows and covering bumps in the ground.0

Half a tonne of gravel isn't actually very much. It's 20 x 25kg bags. At B&Q recently they were giving one bag in ten free, so, iirc, half a tonne would cost about £33.
I only have a little car, so I played safe and carried five bags at a time, and B&Q let me have the discount when I took in my receipt to buy the next five bags.
TBH, I didn't check the price to have it delivered, but I suspect you'd find it hard to beat £33.import this0
