  • Just got this from them....

    Dear Customer,

Teefly.com is sorry but the item you have ordered is no longer in stock. We will refund your order during the next 24 hours. We apologise for any inconvienence this may have caused you.

Oh well, can't say I'm surprised, but I rather they be honest about their mistake instead of hiding behind stock availabilty.

hopefully they'll learn from their mistake and not take the money automatically - if it was me i'd mess them about with a few emails complaining about breach of contract just to retailiate for their little lie ;)

Just got that email as well. Replied to the email politely requesting not to be thought of as that stupid and admit that it was a mistake.

A standard T-shirt with some words printed on it is hardly likely to be out of stock, is it!!

Logically, it would be best not to trust his stock checking system for any other product in case that too was out of stock.

This lot have a better system & good quality shirts and often have bargain clearances:

Yes i ordered 2 t-shirts at first i only ordered 1 for myself. Then when my daughter came home she wanted 1, so i ordered 2 and paid twice for delivery. Just checked and received the same e-mail as all of you.
Didn't think we'd get them anyway, but i would be wary of ordering from them again. If they can't monitor their stock.
  • I ordred 2 last night but got an e mail today saying out of stock.
You can if you think you can!

I will leave it a couple of days and see if he takes the money from my CC. They have not as yet. As I understand it if they do then a contract exists. Goods were offered money accepted etc. Particulary if he deducts money after he emailed saying goods out of stock.
I will email him requesting he honour the agreement and indicate I am quite willing to be reasonable and wait till the items come back into stock.
Will wait for a reaction and see where it takes us.
Whilst I have no desire to 'put this person to the sword' clearly he is trying to pull a fast one over a web site error all presumably of his all making. If he had owned up with an apology I may well have taken a different more concillitary line.

Shouldn't we all write to him requesting he honour his obligations??

as someone pointed out earlier in the thread, its just a small time organisation, probally a one man operation.. ok so he could have been truthful but i imagine he just panicked. if he honoured these orders no doubt it would leave him in a financial mess.

i for one wont be taking it any further.
