Boxing Ticket Insurance

Hi,

Just wondered if anybody could help, I heading out next Thursday to Vegas for the Mayweather fight. Does anybody know of any companies that will offer insurance on tickets to sporting events? As they were very expensive I would like to insure them against missing the fight in case anything should cause me to miss it.

Thanks in advance.

This was something you should have negotiated with Travel Insurers, at the time of making the booking and buying the tickets. Not aware of any standalone type Insurance.

Contact a broker that specialises in negotiating specfic cover. Find using BIBA
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
  • The tickets were bought after the flights and hotels were paid for. If I had waited the extra cost of the hotel and flights would have made the price of the tickets the least of my worries.
I had the option to insure at the time through ticket master USA who the tickets were purchased through but it turned out you had to be from the US. I have tried with Ticketmaster this end and they have said that they only insure thickets bought from ticketmaster.co.uk

I guess I am going to have to hope all goes well. I am going to Vegas so I guess I will take this as my first big gamble!!

    Cheers
  • Did you purchase it on a credit card as maybe the cc company cover it ?
  • Not sure if this helps but Egg credit card have "missed event cover", if you bought tickets using their credit card you would be covered.

I am in a similar situation although I don't go to Vegas till 2nd June, I have VERY expensive (to me) show tickets booked and I will be covered to a maximum of £100 per ticket, if I'm reading the T & C correctly.
