Hi all

Thought it would be a good idea to go paperless billing for our Gas and Electric...save paper, save the world, and save 5 pound !
Signed up in March via house.co.uk - all ok...

Had a bolt of lightning strike me yesterday as I couldnt remember paying a gas bill for what seemed like ages.

No e mails or paper bills received at all - not even an overdue Red bill.

Got all our old paper bills out and we should have received a bill early in June..

Rang British Gas yesterday was told that 175.00 pound was outstanding and had been since early June. I explained that we had signed up for paperless bills - oh said BG I will put you through to House, as we dont deal with that. I paid the bill there and then over the phone and was put through to House.

House.co.uk confirmed that we had signed up correctly, but due to a glitch and change in their software a "few" of BG customers had fell through the net !

I have now cancelled my paperless billing !!!

The BG software is one big glitch IMHO ! I am on the click energy tariff which is supposed to be done 100% online. I have never been able to register on the Click website (it just doesn't work) but I did manage to register on the house.co.uk website. However, my account has been stuck in the registration process ever since and there is no way I can view my bills or do anything except submit a meter reading (although god knows what happens to this). Needless to say, BG still take the DD every month. It is a complete shambles. :(

    Hi

Being forced to pay BG's, or any other provider for that matter, such extortinate rates for power, I am a bit miffed at the fact that I had to remind them to take my money. !

All these companies need a dam good shake up, and then we can get on with our lives - in peace.
