OK, so the Philips Steam Iron – Model HI558 went for 47600 points, and costs £64 on the QED web site. Which whizz can work out the minimum that bidder spent on kitkats???

Based on the price of a single kitkat average £0.35 and receiving the minimum 100 points.

    The way to caculate it is 10 x 35 = £3.50 x by 47.6 = £166.60 approx.

You could work it out on all the multi packs with the above formula but im off, fetch the anorak.

A 27 pack of 2 fingers costs £2.69, but gives 1350 points (50 per 2 fingers, single code on outer wrapper).

    47600 / 1350 * 2.69 = £94.85

However there have been plenty of promotions, i.e. double points, free points etc. I recon around 20p per 100 points is a fair ready reconer.

At tesco they have the 9 pack 2 finger packs for 2 for £1.60. They get you 450 points each.

    47600/900 * £1.60 = £84.63

    They were still ripped off.

That means the person who won the 5 min car auction paid about £56.

btw, is there is a postage charge for the QED auction wins?
  • If anyone is collecting points, the best offer i've found is Asda, 3 x 9 pack 2 finger packs for £2.

    So 47600/1350 * £2.00 = £70.52
