Options
Although i have not had charges for over 1 year i did have a claim in that was on hold for charges of around £5000 over 5 years. when i heard about the court ruling i i just put it to bed a forgot about it. i have since been made redundant (with no big lump sum!) can i now claim try to back under the hardship rule?
If the answer is yes does anyone know of anyone who will do this for you.

If you are in financial hardship you would not need to find someone else to do it for yourself because you would not be able to afford to do so.
Are you aware that you will, in all likelihood, not get 100% of the charges back under financial hardship? In fact, the bank may not even look at 1% of the claim. If they did refund it would be to help with your financial hardship, but, taking the logic of someone else doing the claim, you will be facing a court appearance with the firm for not paying their 30 pieces of silver.

Why do you think you are in financial hardship?
What caused your financial hardship(DO NOT SAY BANK CHARGES because that is the consequence and not the cause).?

Apologies if the post seems harsh but financial hardship is very clear and, if someone else has to do it for you, then I doubt it is financial hardship currently.

the reason i'm in financial hardship now is i am not working having been made redundant with no big payout and living of my overdraft. Are you saying that if anyone got anything back under the hardship rule it would only be around 1% of the total charges? hardly worth the time and effort if thats the case

Not at all but that financial hardship claims is not about getting a 100% payout cos that is quite frankly ridiculous. The issue is that the bank charges do not make the situation(which is usually pretty bad) any worse than they are already. Bottom line is that if it is hardly worth the time then the situation couldn't be that bad.
