FileZilla Problem

I'm having problems uploading folders in FileZilla. At current, if I drag a folder across and drop it into the FileZilla window, nothing happens. If I drag an individual, or group of files, it works fine (and queues them up).

If however, I want to drop a whole directory with subfolders and subfiles, nothing happens. The queue just stays empty.

Any ideas?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. In fact this is a fresh build that I've just installed it on.

I've also got rid of my xml config file, and started afresh.

Other ftp software works, just not FileZilla, and I've no idea why. And I want to stick with it (not install a different ftp client) so really want to get it fixed. A check on google doesn't seem to return much.

I started happening a while back. I've tried different versions and they're the same. Namely v2.2.10, v2.2.20 and v.2.2.26.

Initially I just installed another ftp client as I regularly have to deploy web applications. I've finally come back to it though, and would like to fix it.

I think you're spot on with the file permissions though. I've just tried locally and it works fine. When trying from our development or staging servers, nothing happens.

I wonder what permissions are needed, as other ftp clients work fine.

    Arrghhh, found it!

It's do to with UNC paths. I'm trying to drag across folder via a full path. I tried using a mapped network drive and it works fine. Apparently FileZilla doesn't work via UNC paths.

Damn, well if that's true, it's the first bad thing I've found with FileZilla. Shame as I'll probably switch now.
