Giant trailing fuchsias and sweet peas

I have got the above plants in small pots ready for the hanging baskets. They stand outside in the garden and then put in the shed overnight. I am just wondering whether it will be safe to plant them outside by the end of April. I have also got the begonias tubers and do not know whether it will be safe to plant them in a large wooden container outside (the area is protected by high wall) or leave them on the windowsill on the verandah until May. I do not want to lose them due to frost. Anybody knows when it is safe to plant, I was also thinking if there is danger of frost I could cover with newspaper or old rugs, will that work? Thanks

Think it depends where you live, if in Cornwall then OK, if in Aberdeen, perhaps not

one way I've seen is to plant up the baskets and hang them up on the inside of the shed door. Every morning you open the door to the outside air and then simply close the door in the evening.
I would wait a few weeks before planting the bedding out.Tubers could be planted out now. Protect from the cold with carpet/fleece/jacket and don;t let it get too wet.
