Mortgage Broker stuck abroad

Hi,
We've had our offer accepted and so want to get the ball rolling ASAP.
However I called my mortgage broker and the office say he's stuck abroad due to the volcano in Iceland
Just wanted to find out how this might hold the sale up?
We want to get things sorted ASAP as the house needs some work and we have a baby due in july....
