it sounds like everything has snowballed, and OH feels its easier to blame you than taking responsibility OP, easy to do, hard to take
you have peeked your head out the sand, so, well done for that:T
tackle this like you would eating an elephant, little bites at a time!!:D
i always find a list helps
write down ALL you want and need to do
then take them and prioritize
this site, will have a thread(s) to help with each task, and if there isnt, start one!
you didnt get here overnight, you wont get out of it that quick either
but once you make a start, you will be spurned on
every single victory is so sweet
but you are one person, you need help, working full time is no mean feat
every one in the house has to pitch in, and do their bit
do not be afraid to delegate
meal plans are good for budgeting, flylady for cleaning/housework
and when you have conquered all that, and you will, then OS/MSE christmas thread is waiting for you:D
i wish you well in your new quest OP0 -
thanks everyone, I have now joined the grocery challenge and im off to look at the flylady thread:D
thanks again xLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
I agree with a lot of the other posters that your OH needs a good kick in his attitude - He contributes to the mess and he shold help clear it up too.
My DH washes up every Sunday and Bank holiday he also helps with a lot of the housework because I am disabled.
The kids have the responsibility of keeping upstairs clean and tidy including the bathroom and I do downstairs, the washing and preparing the meals (whoever is in the house has to put the stuff in and out of the oven because of my disability)
When I was working full time and the kids were little the agreement was that whoever was in first started the dinner and had a quick tidy up - with the bulk of the housework being done at the weekend by BOTH of us.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
