Hi,
hopefully I'm posting in the right area. a few yrs ago I subscribed to a magazine that has has since ceased to be published. i paid for this via a standing order. I received a letter just before publication stopped saying that the publishing company was going bust an they would not be taking any more money from my account.
Stupidly, I forgot I paid my SO and let this continue... is there a way I can get any money back from these guys? I know the sort code and account no the money is going to, but any other contact information leads to a dead end.

If they've actually "gone bust" then the account should have been closed.
If they have just "ceased trading" the company may well still be live (ie active).
You really need to get onto your bank first and see what they have to say
